The quest for truth is a journey each of you must undertake. You must come to know the truth, and walk in it. Knowing the truth begins with recognising that truth is not an abstract concept. Jesus Christ declared that he is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6). It is in Messiah that you will find the ultimate revelation of truth. To know the truth, then, is to know Jesus, to seek the Father in prayer through Christ, to find him in the scriptures, and in the traditions. It is a personal relationship – not an intellectual assent. It is a personal commitment to Christ and his teachings.
To walk in the truth requires more than knowledge alone. It demands action. St. James said, “Be like those who do the word and not only hearers.” (James 1:22) Walking in the truth means making sure your lives are in accordance with the Spirit of God and the teachings of Christ. It means living out the Commandments; it means loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and loving your neighbour as yourselves.
For most of the Believers, the path of truth is not easy. It requires integrity, honesty, and courage. It requires you to stand against the prevailing winds of popular opinion or to make sacrifices for the sake of righteousness. Yet, the rewards of walking in the truth are immeasurable. It brings inner peace, a clear conscience, and the assurance of eternal life in the presence of Almighty God.
Walking in the truth can transform you and those around you. Your actions and choices become a witness to your brothers and sisters, and to the world, drawing others to a life committed to the light of Christ. The world is full of darkness and chaos – the light of Jesus will draw people to the Father. As you strive to walk in the truth, remember the role of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that the Spirit of truth would guide his disciples into all truth (John 16:13). Remain open to the Spirit’s promptings, allowing your hearts and minds to be moulded according to the will of God.

Capítulo 18 – Conociendo y Caminando en la Verdad
En el Nombre de Dios Todopoderoso, el Señor del cielo y Rey de todas las naciones.
Hijos de la Luz,
La búsqueda de la verdad es un viaje que cada uno de ustedes debe emprender. Deben llegar a conocer la verdad y caminar en ella. Conocer la verdad comienza con reconocer que la verdad no es un concepto abstracto. Jesucristo declaró que él es el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. (Juan 14:6). Es en el Mesías donde encontrarán la revelación última de la verdad. Conocer la verdad, entonces, es conocer a Jesús, buscar al Padre en oración a través de Cristo, encontrarlo en las escrituras y en las tradiciones. Es una relación personal, no un asentimiento intelectual. Es un compromiso personal con Cristo y sus enseñanzas.
Caminar en la verdad requiere más que solo conocimiento. Exige acción. San Santiago dijo, “Sean hacedores de la palabra y no solamente oidores.” (Santiago 1:22). Caminar en la verdad significa asegurarse de que sus vidas estén de acuerdo con el Espíritu de Dios y las enseñanzas de Cristo. Significa vivir los Mandamientos; significa amar a Dios con todo su corazón, alma y mente, y amar a su prójimo como a ustedes mismos.
Para la mayoría de los Creyentes, el camino de la verdad no es fácil. Requiere integridad, honestidad y valentía. Requiere que se enfrenten a los vientos prevalecientes de la opinión popular o que hagan sacrificios por el bien de la rectitud. Sin embargo, las recompensas de caminar en la verdad son inconmensurables. Trae paz interior, una conciencia clara y la seguridad de la vida eterna en la presencia de Dios Todopoderoso.
Caminar en la verdad puede transformarlos a ustedes y a los que les rodean. Sus acciones y decisiones se convierten en un testimonio para sus hermanos y hermanas, y para el mundo, atrayendo a otros a una vida comprometida con la luz de Cristo. El mundo está lleno de oscuridad y caos; la luz de Jesús atraerá a las personas hacia el Padre. Mientras se esfuerzan por caminar en la verdad, recuerden el papel del Espíritu Santo. Jesús prometió que el Espíritu de verdad guiaría a sus discípulos a toda la verdad (Juan 16:13). Permanezcan abiertos a los impulsos del Espíritu, permitiendo que sus corazones y mentes sean moldeados según la voluntad de Dios.
